I've been in this hobby since I was a kid. Not as an investor, not as an influencer... as the kid spending his allowance on packs like everyone else.
A year ago I started hitting record. Now I run One of One Interviews by myself: booking, hosting, editing, clipping, posting, and answering every single comment. The people I interview range from the biggest names in Facebook card groups to the lawyers suing the biggest companies in the hobby... allegedly.
What makes the show different is where I came from. I was a Facebook group admin on the degenerate side of this hobby long before I had a microphone. So when a guest tells me about break tabs, owed money, or scalpers paying off store employees, I don't act shocked. I ask the next question.
Short Form
A Target employee walked down a line of Pokémon collectors and told them the Friday drops were done... restocks would be random from now on. I screen-recorded it, cleaned it up, sharpened the footage, and posted it with my read on what it meant for scalpers.
200,000 views. And fifty dollars. Nobody said pretend media empires pay well...
Long Form
Will is the LeBron of Facebook card groups, and we didn't do the usual softball lap. We went into the dark side of the hobby: people running tabs to join card breaks, owing money they don't have, and where the line sits between a collector and a scammer.
It became my best performing interview ever, roughly 50x my baseline... which tells you exactly what this audience actually wants. The real stuff.
Industry & Legal
When one law firm went after Fanatics, TikTok, and the NFL, I got them on the show. Most hobby creators won't touch legal stories because they're scared of the companies involved. I cover them anyway, carefully, with one word doing a lot of heavy lifting...
"Allegedly." It started as legal cover. Now it's the show's running joke, and guests say it before I do.
Market analysis, breaking coverage, and the receipts the hobby would rather nobody wrote down... allegedly. Every article lives on its own page, and new ones drop whenever the hobby earns one.
